The City of Regina is asking residents and community groups to share their thoughts on how to improve housing options across the city.

Here's the deal: Regina has a bunch of neighbourhood plans, but many are outdated and don't allow for a variety of housing choices. This project aims to fix that!

The city recently partnered with the federal government's Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF) program. This means zoning rules and development plans are getting an update to allow for more housing options in established neighbourhoods, especially near major bus routes.

What does this mean for you?

This is a big shift for Regina! The city is moving towards a more unified plan that ensures all neighbourhoods have the chance to grow and offer a mix of housing types, services, and amenities.

How can you get involved?

Head over to Regina.ca/housingoptions to find details on specific neighbourhood plan reviews and proposed changes.  The deadline to provide your feedback is August 23, 2024!

The input you provide will help shape recommendations presented to city officials later this year.
